Florida District 6 Little League is proud to be a part of Little League International, the world’s largest organized youth sports program. Established in 1939, Little League International provides a unified set of rules, standards, and values that guide more than 6,500 local leagues across the globe.
Through this relationship, Florida District 6 is not just a collection of local leagues—it is part of a global community committed to inspiring young athletes, strengthening families, and building character through the game of baseball and softball.
District 6 serves as the vital link between local leagues and Little League International. We provide training, resources, and oversight to ensure that each league operates in alignment with the principles of Little League. We also coordinate district tournaments that lead into sectional, state, regional, and ultimately the Little League World Series, connecting our players to the highest levels of competition within the program.
As one of Florida’s chartered districts, District 6 oversees and supports local Little League programs throughout the Tampa Bay area. Our role is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn the game of baseball and softball in a safe, fair, and fun environment—while developing teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership skills that last a lifetime.
